OPERNTURM LOBBY

Redesign of the sideways entrance hall and reception area

The redesign of OpernTurm 200 m² sideways lobby focuses on creating a modern, inviting space that enhances the building’s architecture while offering a more private, tranquil arrival experience. Carefully framed views of the Alte Oper and the Rothschildpark further connect the interior to its surrounding landscape. Through a careful and refined selection of materials-such as stone, wood, linen and silky wallpaper, and high-quality fabrics-the amaroo concept design team translated the client’s needs and aspirations into two coherent concepts.

One option presents a more generous, expansive lobby layout, while the other offers a more compact interpretation. Both solutions embody elegance, clarity, and a strong sense of identity, reflecting the success, professionalism, and prestige of the international companies based in this landmark building in the heart of Frankfurt.

The lighting design aimed to create an artistic sculptural installation for people inside the building, which would also stand out on the street-facing facade, gifting the city. The lighting installations represent dynamism and movement, values that drive the business center. High-quality furniture with timeless design was selected to enhance the project, including pieces from the renowned German company Walter Knoll. Assertive design choices made to last for decades.

The OpernTurm in Frankfurt stands as a symbol of the highest ambitions and standards‑a timeless, modern office tower rising 170 meters above the historic Opernplatz while engaging respectfully with its architectural heritage. Located on one of Frankfurt’s most beautiful and central plazas, the building embodies a contemporary working culture.
